Giving Back

In a Time of Need…

The tornadoes that ripped through southern Indiana near the site of GeoWoodstock X in March 2012 left many dead or injured and many, many more without homes. Members of the local Geocaching community were not immune; some lost everything.

“What should we do?” we asked ourselves.

Since we cannot be there to help with the clean-up physically, we want to do the next best thing:

The TOM Creative Group is donating a portion of our proceeds from handling event management for GeoWoodstock X to the Clark County, Indiana chapter of the American Red Cross.

The local Red Cross accepts walk-in donations and checks mailed directly to their local chapter site.  Business hours are 8:30a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  You can mail a check to the Chapter at:

Clark County Red Cross
1805 East 8th Street
Jeffersonville IN 47130

We invite you to join us in supporting these devastated communities and hope that this small gesture will help in the recovery efforts.  Remember as you plan your travels, that these are the same communities that are opening their arms to welcome the Geocaching world in just a few weeks.

So donate, if you can.

Shop locally on your trip, when you can.

Help us to show Southern Indiana that the Geocaching community understands and supports them in this difficult time.

Congratulations to the hosts of GeoWoodstock IX

It has been a long year of hard work, but your committee can be proud of a job well-done.

The TOM Creative Group is proud to have been a part of GeoWoodstock IX and we look forward to continuing to serve the Geocaching public as registration service providers for GeoWoodstock X in beautiful Sellersburg, Indiana.

The Cobbler’s Children Have No Shoes…

As is often the case, we have been so focused on our projects for other people that we have completely neglected our own little corner of the web.  While building the registration service and site for GeoWoodstock IX in Warren, Pennsylvania, we decided to blow the dust off this site and add a little content, but we have not quite gotten around to it yet.  The good news is, we have lots of content out there to keep you occupied while we try to get this site whipped into shape. Check back here often as we begin our “Behind the Cache” series, which takes a deeper look into some of our more interesting cache offerings, including McGuffin’s Bluff, Mayday and the famed Key to the Cryptonomicon.  If you pay close attention you may even glean a clue here or there.

In the meantime, if you are interested in our Mega-Event registration services, Robert’s excellent GPS Babel software, Seth’s photography and esoterica or Brad’s musings on life in the first quarter of the 21st century; I am sure you can find plenty to keep you occupied.
